Pakistan made significant progress in various areas: Miftah

Islamabad, Feb. 7 (TNS): Pakistan government has made significant progress in the areas of peace and security, economic stability, energy sufficiency and social protection during the last four and a half years.

This was stated by Advisor to Prime Minister on Finance, Miftah Ismail while talking to British Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan, Gareth Bayley in Islamabad.

Miftah Ismail said the government is committed to achieve target of six percent growth rate this year.

Matters related to Pak-UK bilateral relations and activities of Department for International Development in support of government’s development programs were discussed during the meeting.

The British Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan assured the Advisor on Finance about support and cooperation of the government of UK for economic reforms as well as for initiatives for regional cooperation.
