Naqeebullah murder: Tribesmen end their sit-in in Islamabad

Islamabad, Feb. 11 (TNS): Tribesmen from FATA have ended their sit-in in Islamabad.

The tribesmen were demanding justice for extrajudicial killing of Naqeebullah Mehsud by police in Karachi.

PML-N leader Ameer Muqam met the protesters and convinced them to end the protest.

Naqeebullah Mehsud, a 27-year old tribesman from South Waziristan Agency, who aspired to be a model, has become an unlikely hero for his Mehsud tribe and the larger Pashtun community were demanding justice for him who was murdered at the hands of the police in Karachi.

Since February 1, the protestors were staging their dharna outside the Islamabad Press Club. Politicians from different political parties, particularly those led by Pashtuns, have visited the camp and made speeches to show solidarity with the protestors.
