GUJRAT, Feb 12 (TNS): Pir Hameeduddin Sialvi has alleged on Sunday that ‘purchase of support of religious scholars and clerics has begun’ with General Elections 2018 months away.
Sialvi delivered an address at Khatm-e-Nabuwwat conference today and in his speech he said that movemen to buy support of clerics, presumably for votes, have begun and that those who are sell-outs are not one of them.
The cleric said that he dislikes sit-ins and agitation and that sectarianism is ought to be discouraged. Sialvi said that voice should be raised in favour of the truth.
He claimed that the government could threaten influential people with its tactics and not the impoverished.
