Finance Minister promises government employees to improve salary package in next budget

ISLAMABAD, February 13 (TNS): Minister of State for Finance Rana Muhammad Afzal Khan on Monday promised that the government will improve the salary package for the government employees in the next budget and ensured to increase in the allowances of the employees to make the salary package more acceptable.

Talking to a 15 member delegation of Federation for Federation Government Employees  (Pakistan) led by its Chairman Mukhtar Ahmad, here today the Minister of Finance said government will consider the proposals, suggestions and recommendations presented by the government employees while preparing the next federal budget so that the employees could be given maximum financial benefit in accordance with their recommendations.

The Federation for Federal Government Employees Pakistan presented a charter of demands to the Minister of State for Finance which included merger of the adhoc relief in the basic pay of the employees, suitable increase in the basic pay, fixation of quota in the government jobs for the children of the retired employees, improvement of service structure for the low grade employees, confirmation of the daily wages employees, sanction of utility allowances, increase in the house rent, increase in the medical, conveyance and Eid allowances and sanctioning of special federal allowance for all the federal government employees working in the federal capital.
