Islamabad, Feb. 15 (TNS): Minister for Climate Change Mushahidullah Khan says the government took many initiatives to protect natural forests.
He was speaking at the inaugural ceremony of Spring Plantation Campaign 2018 in Islamabad today (Thursday).
The Minister said under Green Pakistan Programme, 15 million trees have been grown in the country and 85 million more will be planted till 2021.
He said the government has formulated new Forest Policy and first Wildlife Policy of the country is under process of finalization.
