Karachi, Feb. 18 (TNS): Amid rifts in Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P), balloting is underway in the intra-part elections organised by Dr Farooq Sattar-led faction at a KMC ground in Karachi.

The polling started at about 1:00pm on Sunday.

In a latest bid to woo party workers hours before the voting, the party chief released a video message, urging everyone to take part in the elections.

He appealed to party activists across Sindh to participate in the elections for Raabita Committee (RC) and Central Executive Council (CEC) happening in Karachi and Hyderabad till 6:00pm.

As the gulf between the two factions of MQM-P – PIB led by Farooq Sattar and Bahadurabad led by Amir Khan – is appeared to be widening, the MQM-P chief stressed that the only solution for internal crisis is intra-party elections.
