Zardari holds Nawaz responsible for current malaise

Naushahro Feroze June 29 (TNS): Former president and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari said on Thursday that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was responsible for all the current malaise and mess in the country.

While addressing a public gathering in Naushahro Feroze, Zardari said that “Pakistan is facing a lot of crises in every sector and the nation is waiting for answers.

“The comparison of old and current Pakistan can be easily observed while surfing through the material available on the internet. The entire prevailing situation is the result of the bad governance of Nawaz Sharif and his team,” he said.

“Electricity crisis and load-shedding are at its peak.

During our tenure, though oil prices were high in the international market, electricity was available at low price, but now the situation is totally opposite despite the fact that the oil prices are considerably low,” he claimed.

Zardari further said that the PPP has preserved the constitution of Pakistan and empowered the Parliament, which is going to complete its second term under the civilian leadership.

“The 2013 general elections were totally rigged, but we accepted the results just for the sake of democracy,” he said.

The current bilateral trade and investment from China is actually a gift of the PPP.  China has always been a good friend of Pakistan. Even if America gives any statement against Pakistan, China stays positive towards us,” said Zardari.

Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Khursheed Shah also addressed the crowd and said that only the PPP knows the real politics and knows how to serve the nation.

“Nawaz Sharif wants to destroy the democracy which was revived by Shaheed Benazir Bhutto,” he said adding that they were not hatching a plot against the premier but he trapping himself through his deeds.

“US Donald Trump is declaring Pakistan a cruel country while India a victim, but Nawaz Sharif is silent on the issue. Nawaz Sharif silence in this regard is an insult to all Muslims including the Kashmiris,” Shah said.
