Rehman Malik urges Senate to give maximum rights to GB in CPEC

Islamabad, Feb 22 (TNS):  Senator Rehman Malik, Chairman Senate Standing Committee on Interior and Narcotics Control on Thursday said that Senate should give maximum rights to Gilgit Baltistan in China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

He said, that GB is focal point in CPEC and deserve maximum rights but given nothing. The shares which have been allotted to GB in CPEC, must share its description to Standing Committee on Kashmir affairs and Gilgit Baltistan, he added. He said that while allocating the budget to Punjab or any other province there is not any restriction from any institution. The Senate should allow GB to take tax from tourism and give financial autonomy to put the region on the way of progress, he added. He said that the government should give constitutional rights equal to others provinces and give equal shares in NFC award.
