Lahore Feb 28 (TNS): While condemning the Punjab Assembly resolution against the National Accountability Bureau Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran said that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz was protecting corruption of the Sharif mafia.

Talking to the media, Khan said that Punjab Chief Minister devoured Rs900 trillion in the last 10 years and it should be investigated where he spent the money. He said that the PML-N’s claim of being a political party was nothing but a farce, and the Punjab Assembly’s resolution against the NAB was a proof that the party wants to protect thieves. He alleged that Ahad Cheema, Faisal Subhan and other dubious characters were front men of Shahbaz Sharif, who used them to mint money.

The PTI chief said that currently judiciary, army and NAB were the main target of the PML-N and they were bent on weakening them. He sarcastically said that the PML-N should be allowed to make legislation to loot the country once for all.

Khan said that he had earlier demand for snap polls so that they could make the institutions strong and start a rigorous anti-graft drive to get the country rid of corruption. Khan said that the PML-N’s hue and cry against the NAB was nothing but the current sweep of the anti-graft body has struck hard in their chest.
