ANF seizes huge cache of sulfuric acid from Senator Talha Mehmood’s factory

Islamabad, March. 1 (TNS): In a major development, the Anti-Narcotics Force  (ANF) has seized huge cache of sulfuric acid in Skardu, smuggled from Senator Talha Mehmood’s Mansehra factory.

TNS has learnt that the Anti-Narcotics Force Mansehra arrested two suspects in connection with seizure of 30 thousand liters of sulfuric acid from Senator Talha’s factory.

It is said that sulfuric acid is used in the manufacturing of heroin and other drugs. It has been reported that the ANF Hazara Region’s Inspector Sohail Umar Gondal and his team apprehended a suspicious vehicle No. TAB-491 during routine checking near Kotli Pine.

During search, official recovered several drums filled with sulfuric acid in the vehicle. On the other hand, driver of vehicle and his companion identified as Naseer and Adil were arrested.

According to the sources, the investigations revealed that this “chemical” was loaded from Senator Talha Mahmood’s factory located in Mansehra.

The worth of seized chemical is Rs. 20.2 million, officials said.

Important individuals also came forward to hide the matter.

TNS tried to contact Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Senator Talha Mehmood to know his stand but could not contact him.
