First phase of model police stations completed: IG Islamabad

Islamabad, March 1 (TNS): The Inspector General of Islamabad Police Sultan Azam Temuri has said that first phase of model police station completed.

While inaugurating the Secretariat Police Station as Model Police Station on Thursday Azam Temuri said that we have already set up model stations in F-6 and H-11 Sectors while in in Ramna and I-9 Sectors model stations are on the card to inaugurate. He said we are determine to eliminate traditional Thana Culture. We are introducing online system in model police stations soon adding that reporting room will play role of front desk and all the station will directly connect  to Safe City Project.

He said seven more police stations would be converted into model police stations after approval expected in ongoing month. He said two facilitation centers are also working in this police station while four cars are available for smart policing and more will be provided soon for the purpose.

He said all the model stations will be monitored through the digital camera while high qualified professionals will be deployed. He said according to a survey carried out by Quaid Azam University citizens feel safe in Islamabad. He said we will win fight against corruption and every citizen will be given equal rights
