Six more injured of oil tanker incident expire

Multan June 30 (TNS): Six more victims of the Bahawalpur oil tanker tragedy, who were admitted to Multan burn unit, succumbed injuries on Friday.

Over 170 people were killed and dozens of others injured while collecting oil from an overturned oil tanker when a huge blaze gripped the Ahmed Sharqia area of Bahawalpur last week, killing over 180 people and injuring scores more.

With the death of six more injured, the total fatalities reached 188.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has already announced a compensation of Rs2 million for the families of the slain victims and Rs1 million for the injured.
