COAS lays foundation stone of Cadet College Awaran

Awaran, March 6 (TNS): Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa laid foundation stone of Cadet College Awaran during his visit to Awaran, Balochistan, ISPR said in a press release.

According to ISPR statement, on his arrival the Army Chief was given a detailed briefing by General Officer Commanding, Major General Zaki Manj on security situation and support to the government on socio-economic projects.

Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa inaugurated construction work for Turbat-Buleda Road on Monday.

The Army Chief also performed earth breaking for construction of Cadet College Awaran at Jhao.

Cadet College Awaran will be initially for 800 cadets with hostel facilities for 300 cadets.

The COAS also interacted with local elders and troops in the area.

Speaking on the occasions, he appreciated the progress through joint working by security forces and the civil administration.

He said that continuity of effort with national commitment was the way forward to bring about the desired development and stability in the province.

Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo was also accompanying the COAS and discussed various coordination aspects to successfully carry on the execution of Khushal Balochistan programme.

Commander Southern Command, Lieutenant General Asim Salim Bajwa and other civil and military officials were present on the occasion.
