ISLAMABAD, March 08 (TNS): Daily wage teachers continued their protest against non-payment of salaries.
Approximately 500 Teaching and non-teaching staff of Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) staged a protest outside the National Press Club (NPC) against non-payment of salaries.

This was the consecutive ninth day of protest by the daily wage employees and one could see members of civil society, a few parliamentarians expressing solidarity with the daily wage employees. PTI leader Asad Umar was there to assure them his party’s support.
Asad Umar said it was very unsatisfactory and unsettling to see hundreds female teachers who have been compelled to work on daily wage in Islamabad educational institutions.

Asad Umar said that teachers have been protesting since a year now but the government is not ready to listen their demands.
PTI leader said that FIR against teachers for raising their voice is very disappointing.
