Haripur, March 9 (TNS): A local leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf youth wing was accused of torturing a man after kidnapping him in Harripur on Friday.
Babar Khan, a resident of Khulla But, said that he and his son, Saifullah Khan, was going home when PTI Youth Wing General Secretary Allah Yar Khan showed up with his 12 accomplices and abducted his son and took him to his Hujra.
He said that when he informed about the kidnapping, the police raided his Hujra and recovered his badly injured son. He alleged that the police were refusing to register an FIR against the alleged kidnapper. He said Allah Yar Khan has a business dispute with his son.
Meanwhile, an Afghan national was killed on the road when a speeding car hit his motorcycle on Dhandha Road within Khullabat police jurisdiction on Friday.
The police identified the victim as Daman Gul, who was going to a local market. The driver of the car fled the scene leaving the victim in a pool of blood. The police shifted the body to a hospital for medico-legal formalities. The police have registered a case against the fleeing car driver and started an investigation.
