Islamabad March 10 (TNS): French authorities have reportedly detained an attended of the Pakistan International Airline after contraband was recovered from him.
Tanveer Gulzar, a flight attendant of PK-749, was taken into custody with the contraband in Paris and the seizure and the arrest was confirmed by the PIA.
A spokesperson for the national flag-carrier said that the attendant has been suspended and added that the airline would punish and dismiss him if the charges against him proved. The spokesperson also said that maybe the French authorities penalize him. The spokesperson also clarified that security checking of luggage was not the responsibility of the PIA.
