Lahore, March 11 (TNS): A day after Khawja Asif was attacked with black ink, Nawaz Sharif faced the same awkward situation when a man threw shoe at former Prime Minister before his speech at Jamia Naeemia here on Sunday.
Police arrested a man for hurling a shoe at Nawaz during a ceremony at Jamia Naeemia.
Former Prime Minister bearly escaped the shoe while coming to podium to address the ceremony.
However, eyewitnesses said the shoe merely hit Nawaz Sharif’s shoulder.
After the incident, the workers grabbed the man and handed him over to the police. Nawaz Sharif did not descend from the stage and delivered his speech following the incident.
A day earlier, a person has thrown ink at Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif during PML-N workers convention in Sialkot.
