Lahore, March 13 (TNS): Education Department decided to reduce time period of summer vacations across the province.
During summer vacation, schools will be closed from June 8 and reopen on August 10.
During holy month of Ramadan, schools will start at 7 o’clock in the morning and will close at 11:00 am.
Meanwhile, Punjab government banned dancing at various school events, a statement issued by the authority said.
According to the statement, the Punjab government has imposed ban at various school events across the province.
The prohibition is for both government and private educational institutes in Punjab, the statement added.
“During special occasions, such as competitions, parents day, teachers day and even orations there was a custom of students dancing on Pakistani and Indian songs, read a notification.
“According to government rules, dancing has been banned regardless of the occasion”, it added.
