Islamabad March 14 (TNS): The trial court on Wednesday took up NAB references against   former premier Nawaz Sharif in Flagship, Al-Azizia and Avenfield properties.

The former premier and his family members are facing three corruption references and the trial court has failed to wrap them up in the last six months as was given the deadline by the Supreme Court. The trial court has called five witnesses to testify against the Sharifs and one witness, Noreen Shehzadi recorded her statement and furnished details of the bank accounts of the former premier and his children.

Talking to the media in the courtroom, Sharif said that both PTI and the PPP bowed down before Sadiq Sanjrani’s court in Senate elections. He also said that the caretaker set up could not step away from the Constitution.
