Rawalpindi, March 20 (TNS): Pakistan Army spokesman has rubbished reports about a meeting between Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Army Chief Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa.
DG, ISPR Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor took to Twitter to refute the media reports which suggested that that the Chief of Army Staff met with Shahbaz Sharif twice in the last 72 hours.
“News about meeting of Army Chief with CM Punjab twice during last 72 hours being reported by a media house is baseless and highly irresponsible. No such meeting has taken place,” the army spokesman tweeted.
Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor added that the reports were baseless and highly irresponsible.
A senior News Anchor Nasim Zehra had has claimed that COAS held two separate meetings with the PML-N president.
