Karachi, March 20 (TNS): Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman has been elected as President of of Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA).
The restoration of alliance of religious parties was announced in Karachi on Tuesday by Ameer of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam and other leaders of religious parties.
Liaquat Baloch of JI has been elected as MMA’s General Secretary.
Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman, on this occasion, said that all religeous parties in this allience will contest the next general polls under umbrella of MMA.
JUI-F chief also announced that a convention of the alliance would also be organized on central level.
Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Siraj-ul-Haq, on occasion, reiterated that all religious parties would start new journey with a fresh resolve.
