Australian police personnel participate in cricket tournament organized by NH&MP

Islamabad, March 20 (TNS): To acknowledge sacrifices made by police forces in war against terrorism, the National Highways and the Motorways Police (NH&MP) organized a cricket tournament in Islamabad participated by Australian police personnel.
IG NH&MP Syed Kaleem Imam said that the aim of this tournament was to pay tribute to brave soldiers of the soil.

He said Pakistan is a peaceful country.
Australian police personnel also participated in the tournament, who said that Pakistan is one of the best country.
IG NH&MP said by inviting international players they have sent a message to the international community that Pakistan is safe country for sports.
SSP security Zubair Ahmed Sheikh, on occasion, said that the purpose of organizing such tournaments is to convey a message to the world that Pakistan is a peaceful country.


Earlier the tournament came to an end after an exciting two-day match between Australian Police Federation XI vs Islamabad XI and Australian Police Federation XI vs Serena Hotels XI. The matches were held at Marghazar Cricket Stadium, Islamabad where the charity cup was held under the Serena Hotels sports diplomacy initiative.
