Karachi, March 22 (TNS): Sri Lankan President, Maithripala Sirisena arrived in Karachi on a three-day official visit to Pakistan, state media reported.
On his arrival, Governor Sindh Muhammad Zubair received Maithripala Sirisena at airport on Thursday evening.
Sri Lankan President will attend Pakistan Day parade as the Guest of Honor.
The participation of Sri Lankan President in celebrations on eve of Pakistan-Day reflects close relationship between Islamabad and Colombo.
During the tour, Maithripala Sirisena will meet the President Mamnoon Hussain and the Prime Minister Abbasi.
Various agreements and MoUs on cooperation in several sectors including training of diplomats, civil servants and youth development would also be inked during visit of Maithripala Sirisena.
