Peshawar March 23 (TNS): The Peshawar police on Friday claimed to have arrested the prime suspect involved in the killing of five members of a family.
The five members, Yahya Khan, an employee of Peshawar University, and his wife Kainat, two sons Zohaib, 5 and Kamran, 2, and his sister-in-law Esha Faqeer were killed in Lala Killay area of Peshawar on March 21.
The police said that the prime suspect, identified as Junaid, who happened to be the brother of slain Yahya, was arrested from a hideout and he confessed to the killing.
The police said on Friday said that the investigated the story from different angles and arrested the prime suspect and his alleged facilitator Amir and recovered the weapon used in the murder.
During the investigation, the facilitator confessed to assisting the suspect in committing the genocide.
