New Delhi, March 23 (TNS): Indian state of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan in Bhopal handed over Indian citizenship certificates to Hindu citizens from Pakistan, Indian media reported on Friday.
28 people from Pakistan’s Sindhi Community were felicitated and were granted Indian citizenship.
Earlier in January, Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh distributed Indian Citizenship certificates to 52 Sindhi families who had migrated from Pakistan to Lucknow in 1947.
On October 26, 2017, 60 Pakistani Hindu migrants were granted Indian citizenship by Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh.
