LONDON March 24 (TNS): National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq said on Saturday that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif will not run off the country come what may and would face every challenge head-on.

Talking to the media here in London, he said that Sharif will face everything that comes is his way as he had done in the past and nothing could scare or compel him to quit politics and he much relevant today as he was before.

Responding to the trial court dismissal of Sharif and his daughter’s exemption pleas for one-week, Sadiq said that heaven would not have fallen, had they been allowed to visit ailing Kulsoom Nawaz in London.

“Nawaz Sharif should have been allowed to visit London on humanitarian grounds. There is nothing wrong in visiting an ailing person,” Sadiq said while refereeing to the accountability court’s rejection of a week-long exemption plea of the former prime minister and his daughter Maryam Nawaz, who wanted to visit Kulsoom Nawaz in London.
