Islamabad, March 25 (TNS): An unannounced ban has been imposed on sale of liquor in federal capital Islamabad, TNS has learnt.
Sources told TNS that the ministry of Interior has directed Inspector General Police Islamabad Dr. Sultan Azam Temuri to impede liquor sell/purchase in Islamabad.
Although no official notification has been issued in this regard but the unannounced ban would applicable to all liquor shops and five star hotels located in federal capital, Sources told TNS.
The Licenses and permits of liquor sellers are not suspended or cancelled however strike action would be taken against found involve in liquor trade, sources added.
