Islamabad, March 24 (TNS): The government has urged all sects in Islambad to pray at the same time and the all mosques  to  call out the Azaan simultaneously.

The government has started consultation with the clerics of all the sects including Shia, Barelvi, Deobandi and Ahle Hadith to adopt unified prayer timings.  Meanwhile, the decision was welcomed by masses and business community of the federal capital who called it a revolutionary step. They attributed it  a step to eliminate sectarian violence from the country.

Meanwhile, Muhammad Ishaq representatives of Wafaq-ul-Madaris-al-Arabia in Islamabad says that although the decision is welcoming but the government has consulted only with Auqaf Department clerics who are taking the monthly salary from government and it appears not possible to implement however if the government takes serious steps then it could be possible.
