Islamabad, March 27 (TNS): Two young men, sustained bullet injuries, were shot injured by policemen who were celebrating a wedding ceremony, TNS has learnt.
Kin of injured persons staged a protest against firing incident.
Parents learned victim, Junaid, told TNS that police shot injured their son during a wedding party but later on showed it as a police encounter.
According to complain registered by family of victim, Constable Zulfiqar and Zafar Iqbal and other unknown policemen were involved in celebratory firing on eve of the wedding ceremony on March 23, which causes injuries to two young men.
Later, the policeman injured himself to prove the incident as an encounter.
Parents of injured persons demanded higher authorities to take notice of this incident and bring the culprit to book.
