Quetta March 29 (TNS): Balochistan on Thursday welcomed a new political party named as Balochistan Awami Party led by PML-Q leader Saeed Ahmed Hashmi.
Addressing a press conference in Quetta, Hashmi said that the new party will be registered with the Election Commission of Pakistan after they announced the office-bearers.
He said that for time being, Senator Anwarul Haq Kakar will be its spokesperson while Shoaib Nosherwani will the provincial spokesperson until the officials were elected.
He said that a 10-member committee will be formed to hold the party elections and chose office-bearers.
Senator Kakar said that socio-economic issues facing the province will figure in in their manifesto and they will not compromise on the rights of the people of Balochistan.
Balochistan Chief Minister Abdul Qudus Bizenjo and the disgruntled MPAs of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and other senators were also present on the occasion.
