Anti-drug campaign launched at Islamabad education institutes

Islamabad, March 29 (TNS): To prevent child abuse and drug addiction among students, a seminar was organized in Model College for girls G-10/4 Islamabad.
IG Police Islamabad, Dr. Sultan Azam Temuri, DG Federal Directorate of Education Hassnat Qureshi, Director Colleges Ambar Sultana, senior lawyer Tariq Mehmood Jangangiri, Riyasat Ali Azad, Anti Narcotics Force representative Muhammad Jibrran and other participated in the event and addressed to students.

IG Police Islamabad Temuri on this occasion said that it was very unfortunate to say that drugs have been sold in educational institutions, however, Islamabad Police is taking strict actions against drug suppliers and 33 cases have been registered against the gangs involved in coldblooded crime.

DG Federal Directorate of Education Hassnat Qureshi said that there are a total of 0.5 million children studding in the state-owned and private schools in Islamabad and anti-drug message is reaching out to five lakh families through this campaign.
