Islamabad March 30 (TNS): The Central Development Working Party (CDWP), a clearing-house for any provincial project exceeding Rs10,000 million, on Friday approved 33 projects worth Rs55 billion for various sectors.
The approval was accorded during a meeting the CDWP held in Islamabad with Deputy Chairman Planning Commission Sartaj Aziz in the chair.
The amount will be spent on energy, health, education, manpower, governance, housing, communications, water resources and mass media sectors.
The meeting referred two projects worth Rs22.5 billion to the Executive Committee of National Economic Council, the final approving authority for any project costing beyond Rs10,000 million, for further consideration.
