Islamabad March 30: As the trial court resumed hearing against former premier Nawaz Sharif and his family regarding Avenfield properties, the prosecution witness and JIT head Wajid Zia appeared before the court to testify on Friday.

Earlier, while talking to the media outside the trial court, former prime minister Nawaz Sharif said that the chief justice should have stuck to his words about calling Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi a plaintiff (faryadi). The comments came after a spokesperson for the chief justice clarified that the top judge never called the premier a faryadi.
Sharif said that such words were most unbecoming of a judge, who should exhibit sobriety.
The former premier claimed that the trial against him was concocted and fraud. He also said that nobody will be spared and everyone including former military ruler Pervez Musharraf will be held accountable and he will have to face the trial. “Now onwards, everybody will have to face an across the board accountability.
