DI KHAN March 31: At least three policemen were killed in an improvised explosive device blast that targeted a squad of the District Police Officer late on Friday.
According to the police, the squad led by DPO Dr Zahidullah was passing through the Hathala Road, when the IED went off, killing three policemen and injuring five others, whose identity could not be ascertained immediately. The DPO survived the blast but a vehicle of his squad was badly damaged.
Meanwhile, PPP leaders Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Asif Ali Zardari and Rehman Malik condemned the IED blast and extended their solidarity with the victims’families.
