Rawalpindi, April 02 (TNS): Provincial Minister for prisons Malik Ahmed Yar Hunjra on Monday visited Central Jail Adiala Rawalpindi and reviewed the administrative situation in various fields.

Deputy Inspector General Prisons Rawalpindi Region Navid Rauf, Superintendent General Jail Rawalpindi Saeedullah Gondal and other officers were present on the occasion.
According to the statement issued by the jail superintendent, the minister inspected various parts of prison including dispensary, kitchen, different wards, PCO and training center.
Hunjra also distributed gifts to female prisoners and their children.
The minister also visited the Multimedia Center and sport complex for juvenile prisoners for healthy activities.
Hunjra visited community halls and appreciated best arrangements.
Later on, the Minister for prisons inaugurated water filtration plant in central tower to provide clean water to inmates.
On eve of Easter, the minister attended the celebrations of the Christian community and cut the cake in the church established in the prison.
He expressed satisfaction over all arrangements within the jail, especially the security arrangements.
