Islamabad April 5 (TNS): A trial court in Islamabad on Thursday indicted three co-accused and aids to former finance minister Ishaq Dar in a corruption reference against him.
The three co-accused — former president of National Bank of Pakistan Saeed Ahmad and Hajveri Modaraba directors, Naeem Mehmood and Mansoor Raza Rizvi — however, pleaded not guilty and vowed to fight the case in the subsequent trial.
They co-accused were charge-sheeted after they were harangued for almost five months. The trial summoned the prosecution witnessed on April 11 to testify before the court.
The co-accused were indicted in the supplementary reference filed against Dar in the assets beyond known sources of income case and they were accused of helping Dar to open fictitious bank accounts and laundering money abroad.
Trial court judge Mohammad Bashir read out the charge-sheet in the presence of the accused.

Ahmed said that he has challenged his indictment in the Supreme Court, but the judge said that the proceedings will continue until the apex court adjudicates on his plea.
