Karachi April 5 (TNS): A man and his wife were put on fire before they were killed with a sharp weapon in an apparent robbery bid in the Kornagi area of Karachi between the night of Wednesday and Thursday.
Police said that the charred bodies of the victims, identified as Shahid and Shamim, were found on the floor of the house while sofas and chairs were riddled with cinders.
Masood Khan, a relative of the victim Shahid, said that the couple had been killed before they were put on fire by the attackers. Police said that jewelry and other valuables were missing from the house. The police said that the couple had been sliced with a sharp object. Police are further investigating the case.
