Rawalpindi, April 5 (TNS): Military Awards conferred on Army officers and soldiers during Corps investiture ceremony was held at GHQ Auditorium here on Thursday, says a press release issued by the media wing of Pakistan Army.
Commander Rawalpindi Corps Lieutenant General Nadeem Raza was Chief Guest on the occasion. Awards of Tamgha-i-Basalat, Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military), and Tamgha-i-Imtiaz (Military) were conferred on Army officers and soldiers for act of gallantry during various Operations.
Three officers and 21 soldiers including 16 Shuhda were awarded Tamgha-i-Basalat. Next of kin’s of Shuhda received their awards .
Seventy Six officers were awarded Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military) and 110 officers were awarded Tamgha-i-Imtiaz (Military).
Corps Commander paid rich tributes to Shuhda for their utmost sacrifices during various operations and applauded the meritorious services of award winners.
A large number of senior Army officers and families of awardees attended the ceremony.
