Islamabad, April 6 (TNS): Zarina and Ghulam Rasool, a couple who had moved from Ghotki district of Sindh to Islamabad after contracting love marriage, has sought protection.

The couple living in a small tent, camped outside National Press Club Islamabad, for last 20 days to seek protection as their families suggested Karo-kari punishment for them.
Zarina ran away to begin a new life, against her family’s wishes, with a husband of her choosing rather than the an old man they had chosen for her.

Living as a temporary arrangement in the tent, the couple implores journalists to protect them because Zarina and Ghulam Rasool believe they will fall prey to centuries-old karo-kari tradition and put to death.
