Islamabad, April 16 (TNS): The process of consultation to finalize caretaker setup geared up.
Opposition leader in the National Assembly Khursheed Shah met Prime Minister Abbasi three times however no name could be finalized.
The names of Chief Justice (R) Tassaduq Hussain Jillani, Abdul Razak Dawood, Dr Hafeez Pasha and Ishrat Hussain are being considered for the post of the caretaker Prime Minister, TNS has learnt.
Sources told TNs that the names of Maleeha Lodhi, Dr Ata-ur-Rehman, Barrister Taimur Malik, Abbas Khan, Shakil Durrani, Taimur Azmat Osman, Dr Adeeb Rizvi and Mushtaq Chhapra are being discussed for roles in the federal cabinet members during caretaker regime before general polls to be held this year.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf on Monday confirmed that the party will submit three nominees for the position of caretaker prime minister and chief minister of Punjab for the interim government.
Imran Khan met with senior party leaders and after consensus decided to submit the names of Abdul Razak Dawood, former chief justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani and Dr Ishrat Husain.
