BISE Peshawar exams postpones due to employee’s strike

PESHAWAR, Apr 17 (TNS): Annual exams date for intermediate exams in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were postponed by five days over strike of board employees, announced Chairman Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE), Dr.Fazal Rehman.

Fazal Rehman while talking with newsmen said that the decision regarding the postponement of exams has been taken in the wake of strike by employees of the Education Board. Earlier the exams were to start from April 20 while the new date to start exams is April 25, he added.

Chairman BISE said though strike by BISE employees has been ended today (Tuesday) but it is impossible to supply exam material, stationary in all the exam centers of the province.

Therefore, it has been decided to postpone exams for five days, he reiterated. Meanwhile, President Education Board Union, Dr.

Muhammad Alam when contacted informed that strike has ended as our demands have been met.

He said they had a meeting with Speaker KP Assembly, Asad Qaiser and our demands were met as a result of which strike has been ended. It merits an insertion here that employees of Education
