Lahore April 18 (TNS): The Lahore police claimed to have arrested a gang of gamblers including a union council chairman belonging to the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz.
On a tip-off, the Gawal Mandi police raided a gambling den and arrested the alleged gamblers including Jawad Akhtar, the Union Council 170 Chairman.
The police also claimed to have seized the bet money amounting to Rs70,000 and several mobile phones from their possession. The police have registered a case against the suspected gamblers and further investigation is underway.
