London, April 19 (TNS): The 25th Meeting of Commonwealth Heads of Government (CHOGM) has formally begun in London, state-rum media reported.
Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi is leading Pakistan’s delegation at the moot.
Prince Charles opened the meeting, the theme of which is “Towards a Common Future”.
Addressing the meeting, British Prime Minister Theresa May said together the member states can face crucial challenges of the 21st century including economy, cyber crimes and climate change.
Earlier, Prime Minister Abbasi upon arrival at the Buckingham Palace was presented guard of honour.
Later, the Prime Minister proceeded to the Friary Court where he was welcomed by the British Prime Minister and Commonwealth Secretary General ahead of the start of the Executive Sessions at Lancaster House.
