Islamabad, April 23 (TNS), Influential property mafia with the alleged connivance of police has grabbed land of a citizen which worth millions of rupees.
According to details, within the jurisdiction of police station Sehalah, a suburb area of Islamabad, member of powerful land mafia Ansar had purchased a land from Arshad against Rs. 50 million.
Ansar had given cheque to Arshad, as payment for the purchased land, which was dishonored due to non-existence of money in the National Bank.
After cheque-bounce, Arshad filed the case (010037 dated 03/02/2018) against Ansar under Section 489-F at Sehalah police station.
The investigator official, ASI Sajid Bhatti, who allegedly has nexus with land mafia, delay arrest of accused Ansar.
When the TNS correspondent contacted, SHO Sehalah Police Station, Inspector Abrar said that the police station facing shortage of police personnel and at present there are only the investigative officers serving in the police station.
He alleged that the IG and the SSP are neglecting the police station.
He said that despite lacking the force, Sehalah police station is playing a role in preventing crimes within its jurisdiction but it is not possible to investigate all the cases.
The complainant Arshad said that his land, worth millions of rupees, has been grabbed by land mafia with connivance of police.
Arshad demanded IG Islamabad Police and Interior Minister to take notice into the matter and bring the culprits and black sheep within police to book.
