KARACHI April 25 (TNS): Pakistan Sarzameen Party Chief Mustafa Kamal has rejected the recent census and announced to challenge the results of the recent census in the Supreme Court of Pakistan

Talking to media, the PSP chief said he will appeal to the apex court to order a third-party audit on the recent census to determine the accurate figures.

Kamal questioned that the registered population of Karachi is around 21.5 Million then how can it be 14 million in the census. He said showing the population of Karachi less than actual population could deprive the city of its due rights and resources.

He asserted that the Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah should have spoken about the matter in the Council of Common Interests. Karachi would suffer a loss of around Rs. 40bn, he added.

PSP Chief raised questions over the increase of the population of Lahore at the rate of 3 percent every year where according to him only Punjabi people live. He said in the recent census a one percent increase in the population of Karachi is shown, which is an injustice.

There are no settlements of Bengali, Kashmiri and people Gilgit-Baltistan in Lahore while the people from all over the country come to Karachi, he added.
