SHIGAR, (GB), April 27 (TNS): Five members of a family were burnt to death when two houses caught fire in village Doko of district Shigar of Baltistan Division in Gilgit-Baltistan (GB).
Local sources said the fire erupted in the kitchen of a house which engulfed two adjacent houses owned by the same family. Five of the family including the house owner Ali, his two daughters, two sons and mother burnt to death in the incident.
The fire also charred households worth millions of rupees before it could be extinguished.
Initially, the cause of the fire could not be ascertained while an investigation is underway into the matter.
