Peshawar, April 24 (TNS): Amid negotiation with Pakhtun Tahaffuz Movement (PTM)(PTM), the political administration of Mohmand Agency has decided to abolish nine check-posts out of a total of 17 located on the Mohmand-Bajaur road, local media quoting sources reported on Friday.
Removal of check-posts in tribal areas was one of the demands of Pakhtun Tahaffuz Movement (PTM) leader Manzoor Pashteen.
Corps Commander Peshawar last Tuesday given hint saying that some of the demands of the Pakhtun Tahaffuz Movement (PTM) are “genuine” and they need to be addressed within the framework of the constitution of the country.
According to reports, the security of a further nine posts located on link roads inside the agency has also been handed over to the political administration, who will take charge of these posts through the Levy and Khasdar force.
