Pakistan summons Indian envoy over ceasefire violations on LoC

Islamabad, April 27 (TNS): Foreign Office on Friday summoned the Indian Deputy High Commissioner J.P. Singh and condemned the unprovoked ceasefire violations by the Indian occupation forces along the Line of Control.

In latest violation in Padhar Sector on Thursday, resulting in the shahadat of 2 innocent civilians and injuries to 2 others, says a press release issued by the FO.

Indian side was urged to respect the 2003 Ceasefire arrangement, investigate this and other incidents of ceasefire violations, instruct the Indian forces to respect the ceasefire, in letter and spirit and maintain peace on the LoC and the Working Boundary.

India was also pressed to permit UNMOGIP to play its mandated role as per the UN Security Council resolutions.
