Lahore, April 30 (TNS): Punjab University’s Dr. Javeria Saleem has etched her name in history the book of Punjab University by becoming the first ever PhD in the Public Health Discipline.
Punjab University also becomes the first university to produce a doctorate in this sector of Education.
Dr. Javeria Saleem was enrolled in the PhD program in public health at the institution of Social and Cultural Studies (ISCS), under the supervision of Professor Dr. Rubina Zakar.
Prof.Dr Rubina said that public health sector was being ignored for a long time in the country. She further added that it is a dire need of the hour to address the public health issues and its sector in the country to curb multiple diseases.
She defended her thesis paper successfully which was based on “high-dose vitamin D3 in the treatment of severe acute malnutrition: a multi-centre double-blind randomised controlled trial”.
The defendant’s paper was published in American Jurnal of Clinical Nutrition which has seven important factors of impact.
