CTD apprehend LeJ militant involved in attacks on Hazara’s, forces

QUETTA, May 02 (TNS): Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) of police in a joint operation with Frontier Corps (FC) in Wali-Jiat near Sariab area of Quetta Tuesday arrested a militant of Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ), who involved in different attacks on the Hazara Community and security forces.

Addressing a press conference along with FC Sector Commander Brigadier Tasawar Sattar here at the CTD office, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police (CTD) Balochistan Aitzaz Ahmed Goraya said accused suspected LeJ militant Muhammad Raheem alias Babul, who was arrested with a hand grenade and a pistol, had been involved in the killing of Hazara community from the year 2012 to 2014, which he had confessed during investigation.

Goraya said carrying operations were underway in respective areas of Quetta to arrest his accomplices. The list of wanted terrorists had been updated which their pictures, which would be displayed in different areas to get information about them, he added.
